After calling her back, I found out the news wasn't good. In fact, it was horrible and unexpected. My father-in-law had had a massive heart attack at her home an gone into cardiac arrest. He was gone.
My husband was at work. I kept texting him trying to call. finally after a couple of minutes with no reply I just called his work and told them the reason why it was necessary for him to call me right away. I was able to reach someone else who worked with him who within 5 minutes everyone at once at got to him.
Luckily, my husband was able to come home. I hated to be the one to tell him about his dad. No one wants to hear their parent has passed one. We have had sleepless nights.
Pops was a wonderful man. I have never met anyone who loved his wife the way he did. He loved his family. He had a great love for cars, trains, and golfing. My husband and I took him to the train museum in Bowling Green. He truly enjoyed himself. We were able to tour an old train.
I am so glad my husband and his sisters were blessed to have Pops in their life for as long as he was. He was certainly easy to love. It was time for God to call another Angel home.
