I went to the doctor Monday over a few things. One of which was my weight. I have always been very little and my Crohn's Disease has seemed to assist with keeping me small. I was placed on Prednisone for 6 months then Humira. I then was in the hospital for 3 months (9 weeks of the 3 months), as you can imagine, NPO, nausea, vomiting, 5 surgeries, pain medication, and then sleeping, I wasn't eating much and lost weight.
I was then put on Armour for my thyroid, and it seemed that I started to put that weight right back on. I talked to my doctor last month about changing my thyroid medication, and that we have done. I have been exercising, dieting, and still lost only as much as 10 pounds and they came right back no matter what I did.
I never ask to be put on anything unless it is something I need, and my doctor certainly obliged. I promised to come back every month. As she was a little hesitant because of my health. But, I do diet and exercise as I was doing before, so I am looking for good results. I am keeping a journal to take with me to my doctor appointments as well as measurements, weight, and before and after pictures. This has me even more motivated. I can hardly wait to see results as I have read people having results the first week and losing as much as 18 pounds the first 3 weeks.
I weigh 146 now, and want to be back down to 105, I know it is possible with diet and exercise with this medication. You can't think everything is a wonder pill, you have to do your part too!
