I advocate for Crohns Disease Awareness for myself and others. It really doesn't surprise me how many people are unaware of the devastating effects it has on our bodies up to and including death. I was diagnosed in 2009, I personally didn't know anything about it except it was painful. I did a lot of research to educate myself.
I actually believe it set quietly while i was a child because i have had problems since i was a child. Then in my 30's those problems became worse. Stomach flus don't last 1-2 weeks but mi b e did and i ended up in the ER due to being dehydrated. I missed a lot of work because of it, but had no diagnosis. Finally in 2009, i had a diagnosis.
